What are Autism Spectrum Disorders?

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a proposed revision to the
Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 5 (DSM-5), which will be
released in May 2013. This new diagnosis will encompass current diagnoses of
autistic disorder, Asperger's disorder, childhood disintegrative disorder, and PDD-NOS.
