    Two unusual visual problems that result from damage to the visual association areas are visual agnosia in which the individual fails to recognize something, yet has the ability to describe its parts and neglect syndome in which a patients fails to see what is on the side opposite the brain damage.
 
    Broca & Wernicke areas are critical for speaking & understanding words & sentences. They are auditory association areas.
